The irony of using
pesticides in the garden and lawns is that it kills
indiscriminately all pests along with your garden's
natural insect predators.
once insect predators are being killed and taken out,
pest populations grow unchecked - leading to
ever-greater potential of pesticide applications.
Based on statistics, urban lawns and gardens receive
far heavier pesticide applications per acre than most
agricultural areas.
On a per year basis, 67 million pounds of
pesticides are found to have been applied to lawns.
Surprisingly, some consumers don't even realize how
potentially dangerous these pesticides can be.
Children are particularly vulnerable to pesticides,
and the most likely to be exposed to lawn pesticides.
Lawn chemicals can harm pets, while garden chemicals
harm the environment.
So why not have beautiful lawns and gardens without
using pesticides?
